Mana Extensions are optional, first-party project features built into Mana. They appear as plugins in the app and are installed separately for each project. They are not third-party packages or sandboxed community code. You manage them from the Plugins hub.

Connect an Atlas character to a Discord bot.

Generate narration audio from a project document or pasted text.

Install or uninstall an extension

Open your project

Go to the project where you want to use the extension.

Open Plugins

Use Plugins in the project navigation.

Choose a plugin

Select an available plugin to see its details.

Install or uninstall

Select Install to add the plugin to this project or Uninstall to remove it.

Extensions vs editor configuration

The project Configuration screen also controls editor features such as Images, Tables, Internal Notes, text styles, and writing language. Those are editor configuration options. They are not Mana Extensions, even if some internal editor libraries use the word “extension.”

Credits

Some extensions use AI credits. Discord bot replies and Play Narration generation both count against the project owner’s weekly AI credits. Typewriter Sound does not use AI credits. See AI credits and usage.
