# Places

> Track locations, settings, and environments.

Places are Atlas entries for locations and settings.

Use them for cities, rooms, countries, planets, buildings, routes, regions, or any place that matters to your project.

## Create a place

    Use the Places section in the Atlas tree.

    Add a place, then write its description and upload an image if useful.

Places support:

* Name
* Description sections
* Image
* Folders and drag-and-drop organization in the Places tree

Places do not have custom attributes or chat.
