# Can I import and export my work?

## Importing

Yes. Mana can import Microsoft Word `.docx` files and Markdown `.md` files.

## Exporting

Yes. Use **Export as...** from the editor header to generate a manuscript export from the current document or the whole project content tree.

Mana can export DOCX. PDF export is available when the server-side PDF converter is configured; if PDF is unavailable, DOCX export remains available.

Export options include document headings, folder headings, writer's notes, and page breaks between sections, documents, or neither.

Images may be skipped if they cannot be reached during export. Mana shows export warnings before download when content is skipped or cannot be included.
